Daily writing prompt
If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?
Surprisingly, I’ve thought about this question many times. There are obviously thousands of characters to choose from. However, the character that I constantly come back to is Duncan McLeod from “Highlander”. Yes, it’s a hard life having to fight to hold onto your head, but the benefits of being an immortal are worth it. I know I know, “but Joe, you’ll have to watch everyone that you know die!” Yes, I’m aware of that. But almost everything we focus on in life is related to a finite perspective of time. So many of our plans relate to our perspective of our very short lifespans. Being able to accumulate learning, knowledge, lessons learned, and skills over hundreds of years is the most awesome experience to me.
